The prince is a treatise book written by Mr. Niccolo Machiavelli in 1513 in Latin script but it had not come to light till 1532. The authentic designate for this book was De Principatibus (in Latin). He was born in Florence. His genus was fiction and creative writing. The publisher of this book was Antonio Blado d’Asola. Although he was not famous, the Homo sapiens who knew him had him on high in their hearts. They never abased him. He was born on 3rd May, 1469 and rested in peace in 21st June, 1527. He was sophisticated and knowledgeable in terms of Renaissance, Humanism, Political Realism, Classical Republicanism et cetera. Few said, “He was an unfavorable man. He was an evil man. It seemed like from deep within his heart that he desired to be bad. Therefore his book was always tarnished.” On the contrary, few said, “He was a generous man who brought the actual intentions of the politics to intensify them in the context of the people. He was a God fearing man. He knew what he did. His book was proper, just and perfect.”
The Prince is a best-known book for its substance as an heir of a kingdom in yearns for his kingdom and his birth right on the realm. Many reviewers state that Machiavelli wanted to build a state on his own by inspiring people to assent to him do it and by conspiring them against his conspirators.
His editions were classified into few big groups. They are as follows:
- The Prince.
- Discourses on Livy.
- The art of war.
- Florentine Histories.
- Poetry and comedy.
According to few people, they say that the 20th century Italian Communist Antonio Gramsci grew immense encouragement from Machiavelli’s writings on ethics, morals, and how they correlated to State and revolutions in his writings on Passive insurrection, and how the social order could be manipulated by controlling trendy accepted wisdom of integrity. Even, Joseph Stalin read his book “The Prince” and a noted his own copy. However this was despised by his critics.
To judge the author and his book in person, we all have to study it with a positive attitude and mind-set.
